El Colegio de la Frontera Sur is a multidisciplinary center for research and education at the graduate level, focusing on the development and the link of Mexico with the southern border. Their programs are aimed at generating scientific knowledge, human resources training and the design of technologies and approaches that contribute to sustainable development.
Assuming that Ecosur is a center for multidisciplinary research and development, the buildings represent the way uphill to the research.
The complex mainly develops on the high ground, with laboratories, classrooms, cubicles and halls at work, with a complete view of the whole project, the administrative buildings, auditorium and library are located in the lower part of the complex.
The final design is developed from the draft by the architect Luis Germán García Álvarez.
