Conjunto de Artes Escénicas

Floor Area:16,300 m2
Location:Guadalajara, Jalisco
Competition:2009
Client:Centro Cultural Universitario
Design:R. Combaluzier, E. Duarte, W. Ramírez, J. Rivas
The Conjunto de Artes Escénicas is focus of the Cultural District landmark in the transition required between the different elements of the set, accessing the plaza and staying in touch with the stage, it´s a daily choice.
The conceptual approach is a raised platform on which rests an oblique wall and a pivot link which articulates and links the access from the Library to the Auditorio Telmex. A space on the top, in the heart of the Centro Cultural Universitario, accessible to all, inclusive and integrative. Two buildings, a real one, concrete and shadow maker, and a virtual one, ethereal and light generator.
One sustainable set that beyond the use of sun, rain, wind, vegetation and materials of the region, takes these elements and makes them an essential part of the project as an expression of belonging to the place.
