Josefina Rivas Acevedo

Born on September 21, 1972 in Merida, Yucatan. She made her professional studies at the Facultad de Arquitectura at the Universidad Autonoma de Yucatan and in 1997 obtained the title of ARCHITECT with recognition as Best Average in the history of this school. Master in Architecture and Urbanism Project Managment at the Universidad de León, Spain. Partner of Grupo Arquidecture firm since 2005 and Ramirez Arquitectos since 1997. Professor at the School of Architecture and Design Universidad Marista of Mérida since 2000 in Project Workshop. Member of the Mexican Society of Architects Specialized in Healthcare (SMAES). In 2010 she obtained professional certification from the National Registry of Professional Certification (CONARC) and the Forum of Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC). In 2012 she received recognition at business development of woman (AMMEYUC).

Her projects have been recognized locally in the Yucatan architecture biennials, in national events such as the Mexican architectural biennials, regional biennials, and the "Obras Cemex" award. She has also been awarded in international events like the “Leading Culture Destinations Awards” and “Partnerships Awards” both from London, England, the Biennial of Architecture in Costa Rica, the Iberoamerican Biennial CIDI and the “Argentine Association of Hospital Architecture and Engineering Awards”.

Arquidecture Group has been recognized in the ranking "Diez Despachos" of the Obras Magazine that annually honors the best firms of Mexico in various categories, in 2019 “Icon makers”, in 2013 “Firms + Sustainable”, in 2012 “Firms with the happiest clients”, where Arquidecture Group ranked first, and in 2011 "Talents forging firms in Mexico".

She has completed projects in different states of Mexico. She has participated at various conferences and her work has been published in magazines and books nationally and internationally.
